No need to overreact to Iran's nuclear moves: Chinese delegate

VIENNA, July 10 (Xinhua) -- The international community should not overreact to Iran's recent nuclear moves because they do not incur any proliferation risks, said Fu Cong, head of the Chinese delegation at an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors meeting on Wednesday.

US urges world powers to reject Iran’s ‘nuclear extortion’

IAEA to hold special meeting on Iran on 10 July

5 July 2019; AFP: The UN's nuclear watchdog said Friday it will hold a special meeting on Iran's nuclear programme next week, days after Tehran breached one of the limits set in a 2015 deal with world powers.

The meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s board of governors would be held "on 10 July at 14:30," an IAEA spokesman said.

Austrian parliament votes to ban glyphosate weedkiller

3 July 2019; DW: Lawmakers in Austria's lower house of parliament voted to ban all uses of controversial herbicide glyphosate on Tuesday, as the substance faces a slew of lawsuits in the US for potentially causing cancer.

"The scientific evidence of the plant poison's carcinogenic effect is increasing," the assembly's top social democrat, Pamela Rendi-Wagner, said in a statement.

"It is our responsibility to ban this poison from our environment," she added.

Non-OPEC producers endorse supply cut extension

VIENNA, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Ten non-OPEC oil producing countries led by Russia endorsed on Tuesday the decision by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to extend production cuts until next March.

They made the agreement during the 6th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting held here in Austrian capital.

OPEC extends oil production cuts amid weaker demand outlook

VIENNA (AP) — OPEC is extending its deal to cut production for another nine months in bid to keep oil prices from sagging as the oil cartel faces a weakening outlook for global demand.

The decision among the members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries came during a meeting Monday at the cartel’s headquarters in Vienna.

Anti-Iranian sanctions not discussed at meeting on nuclear deal — Russian senior diplomat

VIENNA, June 28. /TASS/: The remaining parties to the Iran nuclear deal are not looking to impose anti-Iranian sanctions in response to its reduction of commitments under the deal, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Friday.

The Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) met on Friday in Vienna ahead of the expiration date of the 60-day deadline set by Tehran for other parties to the deal.

OSCE mission in Ukraine confirms start of disengagement near Stanitsa Luganskaya

VIENNA, June 28. /TASS/: The Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) confirmed the start of the disengagement process near Stanitsa Luganskaya and the start of mine clearing effort.

The mission’s observers reported the start of the disengagement on June 26 and said its monitors would continue to follow the developments.

Austria closes country roads to German travelers
