Explosion at illegal fireworks factory leaves four dead and several injured in El Salvador

SAN SALVADOR, April 3 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — The explosion of a fireworks factory left at least four dead and a dozen injured, the National Civil Police (PNC) of El Salvador reported.    

The incident occurred in the “Jardines del Jordan” neighborhood, El Ranchador, Santa Ana, on Saturday night, according to a Civil Protection information.

The 10 injured were taken to a hospital for medical attention, while it was known that the PNC reported arrested the owner of the illegal rocket shop where the explosion occurred, who will be charged with the crimes of manslaughter, injury and violation of safety regulations.

Two minors were among the deceased, and according to the news from the Fire Department, the event took place when the workers of the facility were carrying out some operations.
