BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct 6 (NNN-BB NEWS) – Brunei’s International Flower Show (BIFS) 2019, scheduled for Oct 23-27, drew exhibitors from China, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as, from local companies, a senior Brunei official said.
It will feature flower exhibitions, creative landscaping, workshops, activities and competitions.
According to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Hj Kamarudzaman, with the theme “Brunei in Bloom,” the inaugural Brunei International Flower Show aims to highlight and provide an avenue to showcase Brunei’s flori-culture industry, and to provide another tourism product for horticulture enthusiasts and visitors to look forward to in Brunei every year.
The five-day event will include various activities located around the vicinity of the Horticulture Business Centre. Over 100 varieties of locally grown and imported plants and flowers will also be on sale.
The event also acts as a platform to widen market opportunities, including providing a venue for business matching.
“The event is also a platform to showcase the latest technology and innovation, in the flori-culture industry for entrepreneurs and the public,” said the official.
