Based on the results declared yesterday, more students failed in Hindi as compared to English and Mathematics in the UP Board high school examinations, considered to be a Hindi heartland.
According to Hindustan Times, more than 5.74 lakh students failed in Hindi paper of UP Board high school as compared to 5.02 lakh students who failed in English and 5.03 lakh who could not pass Mathematics paper.
Announcing the results here at Board headquarters in Prayagraj, Board director, Vinay Kumar Pandey said that 2019 High School results registered an improvement of 4.91% from previous year with an overall pass percentage of 80.07% while the Intermediate results recorded a drop of 2.37% which was recorded at 70.06 per cent last year, reported Hindustan Times.
